A useful submission makes the business understandable. Begin with what is known, identify what is missing, and connect each value and exposure to the correct entity and location.

## Start with the account

- Named insureds, ownership, locations, licenses, and the retail agent or broker relationship

- A plain-language description of what happens at each location

- Requested coverage, effective date, current insurance, known gaps, and the decision needed

- Revenue, payroll, property, equipment, inventory, products, vehicles, and available loss history

## Describe the operation

- How inputs are received and products are grown, made, tested, stored, transported, and sold

- Critical equipment, utilities, fire protection, environmental controls, security, and business dependencies

- Suppliers, laboratories, contract manufacturers, distributors, delivery partners, and technology vendors

- Material changes, citations, recalls, complaints, losses, corrective actions, and planned expansion

## Organize property and inventory

- Building and tenant responsibilities, replacement values, equipment schedules, and critical lead times

- Inventory by stage, location, ownership, valuation method, reporting method, and seasonal peak

- Backup power, climate control, water, alarms, monitoring, and catastrophe exposure

- Revenue, continuing expenses, restoration assumptions, and supplier or license dependencies

## Connect products and contracts

- Product catalog, ingredients, labels, testing, batch release, traceability, complaints, and recall procedures

- Formulation, manufacturing, packaging, distribution, and white-label responsibilities

- Leases, customer and vendor agreements, indemnity, insurance requirements, and certificate deadlines

- The source of every requested limit, endorsement, additional insured, waiver, or wording requirement

## Before sending the account

- Can someone understand the operation in two minutes?

- Do the values reconcile across the application, schedules, and narrative?

- Are ownership, custody, contracts, and responsibilities clear?

- Are material losses, recalls, citations, and changes explained?

- Are current controls separated from planned improvements?

Only an issued policy and its endorsements can provide coverage, and their actual terms, conditions, limitations, and exclusions control. Sending information, following a link, or speaking with CARMA does not bind coverage, change a policy, or create authority to act for an insurer unless an authorized party confirms that authority in writing.
