Account brief

## What to know

**Compliance belongs in the account story**

A statement that a dispensary is compliant does not tell an insurance reviewer how the operation works.

**Records to organize before a market review**

Current entity, license, location, ownership, and responsible-person records

**Turn the records into a submission someone can follow**

Group the records by legal entity and location, then reconcile the business name, license, address, activity, and responsible person across the application and schedules.

## Compliance belongs in the account story

A clearer submission identifies the licenses and locations involved, the controls the business actually uses, and the records available to support the description.

The regulator and qualified counsel determine whether the business meets applicable requirements. The broker's job is to present the operation accurately and disclose material changes or unresolved questions.

## Records to organize before a market review

- Current entity, license, location, ownership, and responsible-person records

- Inventory tracking, point-of-sale reconciliation, receiving, transfer, and disposal procedures

- Security plans, access logs, alarm and camera service records, and incident reports

- Employee training, cash handling, age-verification, complaint, and escalation procedures

- Product, label, advertising, delivery, and vendor review responsibilities

- A dated list of operational changes since the prior application or renewal

## Turn the records into a submission someone can follow

If two records appear to conflict, explain the difference instead of leaving the insurance reviewer to infer what changed.

A short change log can make the account easier to review. Identify the date of each ownership, location, product, vendor, security, delivery, or operating change, who approved it, and which supporting record reflects the current position.

- Name the person who can answer questions about each control

- Flag missing, expired, or pending records with an owner and follow-up date

- Summarize incidents, complaints, corrective actions, and unresolved items

- Confirm that the final schedules match the operation described to the broker

## Keep conclusions with the right reviewer

A web page cannot certify compliance, interpret a state rule, or determine how a policy responds. Use current regulator materials for the exact jurisdiction, send legal questions to qualified counsel, and compare the final account description with the application and policy documents.
